Welcome One and All!

Welcome One & All!

This chronicle is about my family of Azerothians in World of Warcraft. Join us as we explore every nook and cranny in the land of Azeroth. We are both Horde and Alliance, PVP and RP. I simply enjoy this world because it’s fun, challenging and deeply enriched with lore. I am an avid casual player and do not consider myself an expert at any part of the game except maybe pet collecting.

I might sometimes entertain you with my blunders, share my new insights and hopefully entice you into joining us as we drift here and there discovering more of this great land they call Azeroth.

Happy Thanksgiving and The Pilgrims Bounty

Gathering outside of Stormwind

We are actively celebrating Thanksgiving this week in Azeroth. Among the activities which occur are cooking, eating and sharing food, food fights, and turkey hunting.

My friends are running to and fro gathering ingredients (pumpkins, cranberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes) and cooking up a storm to be awarded the distinguished title of 'Grand Master'.

Then there is the hunting of turkeys and trying to be the first one to snag it. The competition is tough. Then more running to the big cities to drop off the goodies to be enjoyed at today’s holiday feast to be shared by all. If you don’t have flying or a mount it’s a lot of running.

This holiday celebration is a fairly easy and quick way to level up your cooking skills.

Here’s a tip on how to level up from 1 to 350 during this event.

Buy the Bountiful Cookbook from the cooking vendor at the event.
You can open the recipes as you reach the appropriate level.

THE TURKINATOR

This has been a tough one for my friends. You have to compete with fellow Azerothians to catch the turkeys in record time. Hunters probably have the best chance so I will send Lum out for another try at it.
This achievement requires you to kill 40 Wild Turkeys with less than 30 seconds between each kill. If you fail to kill the next turkey before the 30 seconds run out, you will have to start all over again.
When you kill your first turkey, you gain the buff "Turkey Tracker: Tracks the number of turkeys you have terminated." It also counts down the 30 seconds you have to kill another.
You get informed of your progress:
  • 10 - Turkey Hunter!
  • 20 - Turkey Domination!
  • 30 - Turkey Slaughter!
  • 40 - TURKEY TRIUMPH!

You are awarded a pet turkey at successful completion of all the achievements for Pilgrims Bounty.

So far none of my friends have completed them all. I'll let you know if Lum succeeds this year.

Happy Turkey Day to All!

  1. Lum did not get her pet turkey this year - couldn't get through the instance solo even though she probably should have been able too. LOL
But a few of my friends leveled their cooking skills this year.
